Correctional Deputy Process Done , Waiting Game

Hey everyone ! just wanted to ask for some insight from those who’ve gone through the process already.

I recently completed my entire hiring process for Correctional Deputy. I received my conditional offer, finished background, psych, PAT, and medical and I just got my medical results back last week showing everything is clear. From what I understand, medical was my final step.

Class 118 already started February 2, so I obviously missed that one. I’ve been hearing Class 119 might start sometime in March, but so far I haven’t gotten any call, email, or academy start letter yet. Since it was holiday last friday and holiday today. No sizing appointment for uniforms either.

So now I’m basically in the waiting phase and wondering:

• Does no news usually mean you’re good and just waiting for the next academy slot?

• If medical cleared, is that typically the last hurdle before an academy invite?

• Anyone here get their academy confirmation last minute?

• Based on timing, does Class 119 sound realistic for me?

I’m excited but honestly just trying to manage expectations. Appreciate any insight from people who’ve been through this.
