In the triple layer Meikis, how soft is the middle layer?

Idk if I’m just blind but I can’t find this info anywhere. I know the outer layer is firmer, and the inner layer is softer, but what about the middle layer?

More in general, what exactly is the point of having a middle layer? What’s the difference in feeling vs just having the two layers (harder outer, softer inner)?
