Tilt table - HR going up and down throughout- normal or not?
During my tilt table my heart rate ramped up and down between 70-120 for the whole 40 minute test. As in the nurses and I watched the monitor go up and down and up and down 70..80..90..100..110..120..110..100..90..80..70..80..90..100..110..120..110..100.... and so forth. I was dizzy/lightheaded throughout and felt my heart racing - which is my chief complaint, I do not experience syncope. The doctor wrote a one line assessment "normal tilt". He also said my echo that showed mild mitral valve regurgitation was normal. Thankfully he has retired, but I won't see another provider for months to ask questions.
I just feel like that is not normal? Anyone have similar test experiences? I'm sure I don't have full blown POTS, but by definition of HR raising over 30bpm with standing? Maybe it's the mitral valve? I am waiting to see a geneticist for suspected connective tissue disorder so having cardiac symptoms brushed off as nothing does not make me feel at ease.
