My store won’t let me take the day off after I put my dog down

I just put my dog down a few hours ago. I’m here, watching over my (suicidal) wife who had to leave the same store early so we could take my dog to an emergency vet only to not leave with her. I’m on a final after HR fucked up my leave of absence a few months back and they “can’t” forgive me my four hour shift where I’m just covering for lunches.

I haven’t been late once since being on a final and have come in multiple days when I wasn’t scheduled cause someone else called out.

Holy fuck I’m so upset. I’m going to be in tears on the floor and I promise I’ll tell anyone who asks exactly why I’m there. I can’t stand this place.
