Shared Device Licence
Trying to deploy a standalone phone which behaves as 'reception' with a Teams Shared Device licence. Reception is manned by a variety of people who need to use a shared reception phone, not their own phone. Phone is a Yealink MP56 E2. Resource (room or equipment) account created and licensed with Teams Shared Device. Remote sign-in shows 'signed in' on the Teams Devices Phone list, but the screen still asks for a user to sign in. ChatGPT suggests this is because the phone is stuck in Shared Device mode and expects a Teams Phone Standard or equivalent user to sign in, rather than the 'Reception' user everyone needs to act as. ChatGPT states that the Configuration Profile needs updating to disable 3 different potential settings (which don't exist) to allow the phone to stay signed in as 'Reception' and not ask for someone else to sign in. Does a Teams Shared Device licence not function like this, or is there an issue with the tenant or handset config?
