Could derivatives have compromised Bitcoin's scarcity?

I mean, you used to buy Bitcoin and knew you were getting something limited. Now, many financial activities are conducted on Bitcoin derivatives, so the scarcity issue doesn't arise. You only care that the derivative replicates the underlying asset's performance. Could this impact Bitcoin's growth?
