Elvanse 70mg - can’t decide if it’s actually working?
25F diagnosed by ADHD 360 via right to choose in December 2025 with inattentive ADHD. I’m currently titrating on elvanse with them, started at 30mg for 1 week (no difference, just side effects) then 50mg for 3 weeks. Again with the 50mg, I didn’t feel any positive difference, I had side effects but nothing too bothersome, I potentially felt slightly more emotional and definitely more talkative than usual (which was noted by others close to me too).
I’m now trialling 70mg (with an Amfexa 5mg booster if needed but I haven’t used this yet) and am on day 6 today. I’m really struggling to decide if I think there’s actually a benefit or not. I think I feel more motivated now to start tasks and get things done. However, the I’m still feeling quite prone to jumping between tasks but at least I feel motivated to start any in the first place? I skipped a day on Saturday as I woke up late and didn’t really have anything to do that day but this resulted in my sleeping for a ridiculous amount of time and feeling horrendous fatigued so I won’t be doing that again. I’m also still more talkative than usual - I always have been very talkative but it’s even moreso when I’m on Elvanse - is this a normal effect?
I guess I’m not sure what I should expect, perhaps I’m expecting too much of the meds, and maybe another part of me is worried I’m misdiagnosed and they’re not working because I don’t have adhd. Not sure what others would recommend, ADHD 360 have said it’s fine if I want to trial methylphenidate and the non-stim option too, I wonder if this would be good as a comparison so I can decide if Elvanse is actually beneficial.
Thanks in advance for any advice :)
