Why does the market feel cautious even when data looks fine?

📝 DD / Analysis

I came across this on a stock article website and it lowkey explained something I’ve been feeling. The article said Wall Street’s unease comes down to one major concern, mostly around direction and policy signals. It wasn’t overly dramatic which I appreciated. Just a calm breakdown of why confidence isn’t fully there. That tone made it believable.

There’s been times I looked at earnings or reports and thought things seemed okay. But the market reaction felt muted or hesitant. That disconnect is confusing. It makes trading feel like walking on thin ice sometimes.

Do you think sentiment is more powerful than the actual data right now? I feel like mood is driving moves more than numbers. Curious if you see it that way too.
