Algae growth question

Hi everyone! My endler tank (10 gallon) has been set up since December, but has had zero algae growth. I have no idea why, it’s got a few plants and I haven’t had to actually clean it since I set it up. It’s placed in an area that doesn’t usually get direct sunlight, but the room faces the direction of the sun so it’s usually very bright.
