My ex 19F ruined my 20M ability to trust—now I overanalyze every girl I meet. How do I stop?
My last relationship really messed me up. She lied, manipulated, and hid things from me. Ever since then, my brain treats every new girl like a potential threat.
I overanalyze texts. I look for inconsistencies. I dig into their past. I ask for “proof” of honesty. Even when someone is transparent and hasn’t done anything wrong, I still feel like something bad is coming.I just couldn't trust them I feel like they are lying and my brain keeps on alarming saying I'll never know the truth
I recently met someone genuinely good. She’s consistent and open. But my mind won’t calm down. I feel like I’m sabotaging something healthy because I can’t switch off survival mode. I don’t want generic “just go to therapy” replies. I want real, practical strategies from people who’ve actually been betrayed and rebuilt their ability to trust.
How did you retrain your brain? What actually worked?
