Aqua moon man who liked me for years now scared?

Soo Ive known this aqua moon (scorp sun) to have liked me for years now. I was taken so never saw him that way. However recently, became single again, things happened between us and I wanted to know if he’s got emotions for me and I’d confessed that I did. He tells me he “liked” me back then and didnt have courage to tell me. As for the present he is “confused and scared of feelings” and has ghosted me completely.

Anyone who can temme whatsup with this person? (He aint a player, hes shy and gentle afaik)
