ALRIGHT FOLKs, the detailed post you were waiting for is here

:discuss: Discussion

guys please upvote this post, i genuinely put a lot of effort into typing everything out and it’ll also help it reach more people. so my dms are flooded right now and a lot of you were asking the same main question again and again about the haircare and skincare routine i followed so i’m just putting everything here in one place. for skincare, i kept it very simple. no dozens of products. i used a cetaphil face cleanser every morning, then rolled an ice roller on my face for around 5 minutes, and after that applied a good moisturizer (this is important). i used a marula oil based moisturizer from the minimalist. that’s it. if you want, you can add a body lotion, i used aveeno. also, drink 3–4 litres of water daily. if you stay consistent with these few things, you’ll start noticing a natural glow over time. you can’t change your skin colour, but your skin quality and texture will definitely improve.

for haircare, there’s nothing fancy either. first, convince your parents to let your hair grow, that’s honestly the hardest step. after that, just let it grow for 4–5 months without getting a haircut. i didn’t give my barber any special instructions because it’s not a haircut, it’s just natural growth. for the first 2 months, keep a side part since middle parting won’t sit properly yet. after around 3 months, you can start trying a middle part and it’ll gradually fall into shape on its own. for maintenance, oil your scalp regularly for nourishment and shampoo + condition twice a week. that’s literally it.

as for diet, i didn’t completely eliminate sugar. i just naturally don’t have extreme cravings for junk or sugary stuff, so i maintained control. i still eat everything occasionally, just not specially or excessively. the goal isn’t total restriction, it’s discipline. develop control over urges and your face will gradually look more defined.
