Tires In Snow

Looks like my Passport Touring (Canadian trim for Elite) will be arriving sooner then expected. Exciting! I live in Canada where we get snow until April. I really don’t want to put snow tires on this vehicle for 6 - 8 weeks. I wanted to take my time picking out snow tires and rims and purchase before next winter.

Any Canadians or people who live in snowy places have opinions on the tires that the passport comes with in the snow? I have a job where I can stay home if we get a storm and my husband has a truck with winter tires on if we needed to get somewhere. More so wondering if I get caught out and we get snow will these tires be okay?
