I seriously don't understand why pro-AI is so stubbornly refusing to accept the simple logic that lowering the barrier to entry leads to more people with low "talent" trying their hand at it. This happened before with the internet, and it's happening again on a larger scale with AI.

You lowered the requirements, more people tried, and even if the success rate is the same, the absolute number of failures increases because there are more people overall.

It's like saying that universal education didn't lead to a high number of failing grades. It sort of did, but that's not an indicator of failure. More students means more people in the classroom who can't learn or avoid learning.

To take a more AI-related example, the increase in the percentage of college graduates has led to more unemployed people having a college education, even in the ideal case of not devaluing college simply because there are more people overall.

AI has objectively increased the amount of low-quality content, but you literally can't avoid it unless you forcefully equalize all additional tryers with every simplification of content creation.
