Melee spellcaster build

Hi everyone, Im trying to make a character who focus on spell like Inflict wounds, shocking grasp, vampiric touch or other spell with melee spell attack roll. I havent played the game much yet so if there is other spell, let me know.

So far i was planning a Death cleric, with abilities oriented towards CON and WIS for concentration and spell DC and War Caster feat.

Just curious if you have any suggestion for a build like this. Every suggestion are welcome.
