Anyone else see Good Luck Have Fun Don't Die
I don't have any friends to talk about this film
most likely this post will be ignored and get like two comments but, I will have to keep this short because I have to go to work, and keep in mind I am very much an easily impressed Dumb Guy when it comes to media, but the message of this film re: AI and technology is so in your face and simultaneously hints at some deeper things that I think about a lot re: the meaning of life and the meaning making inherent to life, in that I think there is a utopian element to a lot of capitalist tech bro visions of the future where they basically strip all the discomfort and challenge out of life and collapse it into a gray blob, and sometimes I wonder if this is one of the pitfalls of trying move towards a utopian society in general, like wouldn't we just be overcome with ennui past a certain point?
My life has been fucking awful and nothing good happens to me but I'm still alive because...I don't know, it just feels like I should be? There can be some meaning derived from suffering? And like, by the AI technofuturist view of things, I am not optimal, I shouldn't even exist.
Anyway, it's a very dumb guy film, go see it, hate it, whatever, but it seems like it is a necessary thing to get out to the general public right now.
