What am I missing?

I recently started this game again after taking a pretty long break, so I'm a bit late to the party here.

I made it to the citadel through Phantom and am at the Cogwork Dancers.

I'm still at 5 health and have 2 crests, reaper and hunter, and I don't have silkstorm.

Should I be further along by now? I feel like I'm missing a lot

I also don't really wanna go back so I'll probably keep going until it gets toobl hard, but I might backtrack a bit.
