Open source lightweight PostgreSQL client built with Tauri (crossed 200⭐)
I’ve been trying to move more of my workflow toward self-hosted and open source tools.
One thing that always felt “heavier than necessary” was database clients.
So I started building Tabularis — an open source PostgreSQL desktop client built with Tauri instead of Electron.
The focus is:
- lightweight footprint
- fast startup
- clean UX
- no unnecessary bloat
- fully open source
It recently crossed 200+ stars, and I’m trying to shape it around real-world usage rather than feature overload.
If you self-host your infrastructure:
👉 What matters most to you in a database client?
Performance? Transparency? No telemetry? Simplicity?
Happy to get honest feedback.
