Cory tank size question

I'm setting up a 55x31x36 (61L, 50L with the hardscape i believe) heavily planted tank with wood, rocks and plenty of hiding spots. It's meant for a male betta, but i also want a cleaning crew, so i'll be adding a snail and some neos/amano. I know some people said i could also add pygmys, but i really love the orange venezuelan corys and was wondering if i could add 6 of those instead of pygmys?
