Random thought on Nancy Guthrie abduction...

This case really seems "off" for some reason... as I'm trying to fall asleep (as happens many nights), I had the craziest thought... What if the family is in on it but things went wrong?

I'm talking about a deep crazy money making scheme to make the family money. So the family invests HEAVILY in the Nest security systems parent company (the name you hear every time they talk about the case). Then they stage a kidnapping with damning evidence on it to show that "even though somebody can run off with the equipment, it'll still save to your server or the cloud depending on how it's hooked up". The stock prices rise because this is something that the gen pub wasn't fully aware of. The plan was to have her return of her own volition, however something goes wrong (think Fargo where they accidentally kill his wife). Now the family has to figure out how to "discover" her mother's body without getting caught bringing it back onto the scene of the crime (or near)...

Placing this here mainly to see how well it ages when they actually find out what really happened... Cheers folks!
