Season 2- What’s With The Color and Lighting?

I’m watching the series for the first time and noticed the drastic lighting change in season 2, with everything looking darker and moodier. it looks great but I’ve noticed several scenes start brighter for one to two seconds and then abruptly dim. has anyone else noticed this, is it maybe color correction done during the editing process that didn’t quit cut together? I’ve never noticed this in any other movie or tv show, it’s almost like watching a TikTok filter slip.

does anyone have any insight on what’s going on there?
