Theory: Not the last we have seen of Eric Tao

⚠️ SOME SPOILER ALERT ⚠️

I know that after Sunday’s episode it feels like we just saw the last of Eric… but I’m not buying it. Not for a second.

You don’t write off a character like Eric (ballsy, calculated, intelligent) by having him just fade into the night. That’s not an ending. That’s a setup.

He’s coming back. And when he does, it’ll be one of three ways:

1. The Truth Unravels

Harper eventually starts connecting the dots. She digs deeper and discovers the girl was actually of age, that the entire situation was manufactured to push Tao out of the picture. Once she realizes she’s been manipulated, she reaches out to Tao. And that’s when the comeback arc begins.

2. The Long Game

Tao disappears, but not defeated. He works in the shadows, quietly building leverage. Then, at the perfect moment, he resurfaces to save Harper in a massive way and burn Henry and Whitney to the ground.

3. The Nuclear Option

Both of the above. The truth comes out and Tao returns with receipts and a BANGGGG!

Either way, this isn’t Eric’s ending. It’s intermission.
