Diagnosed with LS

Hello!

I (28F) got diagnosed with Lichen Sclerosis today. I’ve been having these episodes of pain and itching for about 3-5 years. At first I thought it was UTI and/or yeast infection. Each test I would do for UTI or yeast infections would be negative so I would be in pain for a week till it would go away. I got a scoping of my bladder due to the pain I would have (they thought it was UTI related.) My bladder is fine, no issues but I would still have episodes of pain and itching. In the past two months my gyno who took my concerns seriously and gave me topical steroids which didn’t work. My gyno recommended we do a biopsy ( I’m still recovering from that) and today I received the call I have LS.

So my fellow LS peeps what’s some advice or help or anything that has helped you? :)

I have any appointments with my primary to better understand what’s going on (I read stuff about fusion, scarring and how sex can be painful and I’m SCARED to say the least.)
