Israel is alienating young Jews

I am a 75 year old Reform Jew. Israel’s actions in Gaza has upset a lot of young Jews in the United States. Even if Hamas’ casualty figures are exaggerated, it is likely that the death toll on women and children is in the thousands and their homes destroyed. Yet many of the mainstream Jewish institutions are ignoring their concerns. This is pushing them away from wanting to affiliate with these institutions. It is not antisemitism to be upset with Israel’s actions in Gaza. It is antisemitism to oppose the existence of Israel. We need to distinguish the difference.
