Ordered the Morilee dress 21832 in ivory for my wedding. I know it is an inexpensive dress but at $370 (that includes tax,) I noticed an inconsistency in the bust. In the excitement, I didn’t notice in store. It wasn’t until comparing the two sizes, seeing what I liked differently and what I wanted to alter, that I realized the pleating of the bust was entirely different. It’s almost bunched up like a scrunchie opposed from the very intentional folding of the original. No matter how much I try to adjust it, I cannot make it look the same. Additionally,on the larger dress, the fabric covered less of my bust…I wonder if the same amount of fabric is used from one size to the next creating more tension?? (I know nothing about fashion/sewing)

I knew they would be different…in the way that the size 6 hugged my hips a little better. I ordered the size 8 because the 6 didn’t zip up. The 8 can be altered to be snug around my hips again and it zipped up beautifully. Still a beautiful dress. Due to timing, it’s going to be the one I wear. I know I can have it altered and I will be happy with it but I just can’t get over such an inconsistency.

Has this happened to anyone else? Especially curious if this has happened with a more expensive gown!

My dress was made differently from the sample dress / listing.
