Starting at the bottom of the leader board

Constructive Criticism

I’ve been in the diamond league for over 3 years. Generally, when I complete my first few lessons of the week, I’m near the top of the leaderboard (at least for a few minutes since you are generally grouped with people who start around the same time). Last week, I noticed I was instantly at the bottom of the leaderboard and was grouped with people who had already accumulated several thousand XP. By the end of the week, the minimum number of XP needed to avoid being demoted was 5500 (normally it’s about 2,000). I generally finish the week at 2,000-2,500 which is enough to stay in the league, but not so high they move the goal post.

This week, I completed my first lesson and the same thing happened. I have a family plan so, as an experiment, I immediately logged into another account that is also in the diamond league and completed a lesson. Despite the fact that this account is in a tournament and averages more weekly XP, upon completing the first lesson of the week I was placed at the top of the leaderboard, among people with activity that’s more or less in line with my own.

As a super user with a family plan, I don’t appreciate being subjected to these stupid A/B tests. You don’t need a test to know that setting someone up to fail is demotivating.
