Interfamilial transfer from out of state resident

I keep reading mixed things online, looking for insight from anyone who has done this. My father moved to Arizona and obviously has access to all the firearms in the world to purchase.

I'm really wanting a S&W bodyguard 2.0 for my summer carry. Ideally he could purchase and then do a transfer to me. Are there any hoops to jump through to do an interfamilial transfer with him being an out of state resident.
