When carers payment/allowance ends after mum passed. Need help please.

I've been on carers payment and allowance caring for my mum. She recently passed away and I'd really like some info before my phone appointment that I've booked for later this week.

I've read through the info on Centrelink's website and I'm a bit unclear on a few things. Plus I find I'm having trouble taking in any info at the moment.

In some parts it says I'll get a lump sum payment and in other parts it says I'll stay on carers payment for 14 weeks. I'd really prefer to just stay on carers but obviously I know I can choose.

Has anyone been through this and can confirm either way? In all the info it says you "may" get this or that. I honestly thought they'd just cancel it immediately and put me back on jobseeker so it would be nice if I get some time to grieve without having to worry about jobseeker stuff.
