This model represents the original T-90 by the way, the model with the cast turret instead of the T-90A which has a welded turret.

Built this a while back, found the original images here though so yeah :P

tbh my build techique is really cursed ngl. It's printed on cardstock, I've only made the jump to it recently however. Most of my older models are made on straight up printer paper. There's no glue tabs on this thing; I deemed them too finicky to be worth the trouble, since they seal from the inside. If not being able to see what you're doing is enough pain, glue needs pressure to join seams, not to mention it's liquid. Liquid and paper don't mix.

So instead I used Scotch tape, added benefit being it protects the paper and makes the model last longer, not to mention being stronger. A carryover from having to compensate for thin printer paper, I laminated the sheets in Scotch tape, too, both to increase effective thickness as well as structural integrity. That the laminate preserves the model against the elements goes unsaid. The primary downside is that the tape delaminates and peels off over time, though arguably it lasts far longer than glue, can attest. Shaving the edges off with a knife is pretty straightforward.

I foung glue only really useful for really awkward seams that are inside out not outside in, for example negative 90 degree seams (like on the reverse side of the roadwheels for example), where tape would delaminate because it fails to adhere. That's basically it.

The original patterns didn't have provisions for a rotating turret, by the way. I ended up cutting into the hull and adding a pin to the base of the turret to slot in there. It's an old trick IIRC.

It *is* unconventional, it's rock solid however. It handles like a literal plastic model but has the lightweight of a paperkit. Only a tad heavier, but that's from the thing being made out of composite not paper but still
