Dad, I did it
I'm a paramedic now. I just got my licensing. Still in nursing school but I'm getting there. I got a job lined up and I get to save lives. They said they'll promote me to rapid response nurse/paramedic nurse once I graduate
My mental health is finally stable. I am taking my medication. I accepted that my bipolar isn't a death sentence. I promise I'm going to keep taking my medication this time
I haven't touched drugs in over 3 years. I feel like myself again.
I am finally able to pass and people don't question my gender anymore.
I have a loving boyfriend who reads me to sleep when I can't quiet the voices down. He plays with my hair and promises me I'm safe. I got out of the DV situation over a year ago and wasn't looking into getting into a relationship but I've known him for so long and we got tipsy one night after he helped me move out and we slept together. My bed wasn't even assembled yet. we fell asleep on the couch and we decided to take things slow. I didn't want to get hurt again. He understands what my cousin did to me. He listened and he didn't blame me. He promised me that that won't make him leave me. We've been officially dating for 2 weeks now. I was too scared to put a label on what we have going on but I just did it.
Signed,
your son
