First time applying for Medicaid

Small business owner in Ohio... I haven't had insurance in about a year. I was paying for a premium on insurance that I never used. As a business owner with very little income (10k after expenses & I'm in my slow season now); had to eliminate some things. Bottom line I figured I would at least try to get some health insurance just in case. Questions are - is it too late to apply for medicaid and what information will they look at as income? Also it's just my son and I, however my son doesn't need insurance as he is covered under his father's plan... so I am the only one in need of insurance. Thanks for any help.
