Finally getting surgery - Bilateral CAM impingement

Bilateral FAI

After 3 years of dealing with pain I finally pulled the trigger. I'm 20 and I've been in a rollercoaster of pain and each year it got progressively worse. I am working a very physical demand job which involves tight spaces and twisting which I'm sure didn't help. It really got bad in December, started to get lower back pain, feet numbness, heavy overcompensating. I knew at that point it was time. I did MRIs, X-rays and a diagnosis injection ( non steroid ) which luckily worked on both sides. I recently got diagnosed with cam FAI in my left which im not surprised tbh. The right one was the one that I was dealing with since I was 17 tho. Just mainly curious how people felt on the other side of the hip after there surgery and if you did, did you still have pretty bad symptoms while dealing with it bilaterally and how fast did you operated on the other side. I know I've heard some people not having to do both sides which I'm surprised but wondering if someone here had an experience with that. My main reason is really preventing dealing with another 3 year emotional blender on my left.

Also some tips on the recovery and what I'll need, I know the basics for sure but, maybe something more specific that helped you a lot.

One more thing, PT... How long did you guys start after surgery. I was told I was going to start after your first check up (2 weeks) after surgery.

Thanks everyone!
