Help convince me on Lunna: Astray

I recently downloaded a lot of expansion mods including SVE, East Scarp (and its add-ons), RSV etc. Lunna was one of them, because RSV gave a passing mention.

Now, I enjoyed a lot of these expansions. My favourite is Eli and Dylan. They don't just expand the lore, but also integrate themselves with canon villagers (and crossovers with some other expansions) that doesn't feel too forceful.

I thought Lunna: Astray would be similar, because she's a >!shadow-person!<. Most opinions I read on it were also positive. But outside of a few CS, the expansion feels...isolated? I've unlocked Umuwi too, but that doesn't solve these problems. So far, with the things I've seen, outside of early CS, the characters don't hang out with other villagers or even step outside of Umuwi. Even the characters within Umuwi don't seem to hang out with each other.

The only time they're out of Umuwi was during festivals. Most often than not, I forgot they actually exist. It doesn't help that Lunna never visited Umuwi when her events are all about missing home.

I've invest some time on it, and now I've unlocked Esmeralda. I don't know if I should keep playing this one. Is it really good? Am I missing something?
