Suggestions for places with good yarn but lower prices?

I’ve realized after crocheting for over a year now that I really don’t like acrylic yarn, but since I’m allergic to wool, that isn’t an option either. I’ve gone to every thrift store, marketplace, etc, I have taken apart sweaters etc. Basically, I’m looking for less expensive options, but good yarn. I love soft yarns and pastel colors, I love cotton too, but I like making vintage, delicate, lacy pieces and I know that can be challenging with cotton as it’s heavier than wool or alpaca. I know I have a lot to learn about fibers now that I’m trying to avoid acrylic (at least for pieces that I’m making to wear for myself, and not for others).
