[NO BOOKS] Question about the ending reveal

I'm a bit late to the party I just finished it today.

Do you guys think Toran is genuinely in love with Bayta (the Mule) or that she zombified him into loving her just like everyone else? What hints could indicate their marriage is genuine?

Furthermore, throughout the show, she keeps on charming people (i.e. Toran's uncle). Do you think that this was genuine or once again a mind trick? I feel like the dialogue they exchanged was pretty legit and while he did seem endeared to her I don't see why she would've needed to brain scramble charm him.
