Can't smoke flower anymore so looking to switch to edibles. Have no clue what to ask for at my rec store.

Long time smoker recently had bout of pneumonia which landed me in the hospital. Pulmonologist says no more smoking, says need to switch to edibles for my health.

Have no clue what should be buying. Anyone willing to explain what I should be looking for?
