Credit card dispute
location: New York
I submitted a credit card dispute from a company located in Spain. I purchased 1 slot on a group tour to South Africa. The tour turned out to be a scam, and I was not delivered the service according to the PDF & contract signed.
The company breached the contract given that any change to the itinerary were not communicated until upon arrival the day of.
I submitted a credit card dispute, and was successful in receiving a credit of approximately $3k (full cost).
The Spanish vendor emailed my friend (on tour w/me) & stated I owe them $3k plus fees for dealing w/my bank, but their team legally recommended they do not reach out to me directly, thus they reached out to my friend.
My question is- can the vendor (located in Spain) come after me (located in the USA)?
