Having Surgery for Fistula Repair tomorrow morning and having second thoughts.

[advice]

Tomorrow morning I have surgery to repair the hole in my cleft palate (left side a bit behind my front teeth). this is my first repair as an adult after getting a complete cleft palate repair as a baby and then again as a toddler to lengthen It. I'm just really worried about it opening back up as I've been reading stories, some success but most that it came back sometimes even worse. With the cost, long recovery, is it worth it? The hole I have is small but liquids do go up my nose at times and sometimes small things like rice. Does anyone have any advice? The surgeon is a maxillofacial surgeon.
