Took my partner on an expensive mexico vacation, first one he has been on. I gave him a choice of party situation or relaxation/romatic trip. He chose relaxation which came at a 3x cost for me which I was prepared for. I spent the entire first day catering to him and putting sun screen on him to make sure he didn't burn because I knew itd be trip over in that case. Turns out I put none on myself and burnt to a crisp.

First night in and he left me feeling terrible and wanting to stay in but he wanted to go out and socialize. I'm wondering if I should check myself in feeling upset a bit for being left behind and not thought of or should be happy he is out and about like the reason I paid for. Part of me wishes I was put before fun and given more consideration and the other is telling me to be happy he at least gets to enjoy the first night. Hoping to not let this one taint the other nights.

Please let me know what you think, ladies and gents both! Also: is this okay?! Yes or no.

Went to Mexico for bfs bday and not loving the response. Thought it would be more couple vibe vs him effing off by himself.
