Class Retake inquiry

I have to retake a class and I’m afraid I’ll get an annoying email telling me that I need to fill out a course registration form when it’s not available anymore or being told the class is full when I’ve sent two emails (one before my registration date, the second after I registered for the rest of my classes).

I’ve had to do this twice for a class and the first time, my advisor said they couldn’t put me in and then the second time, I got my last choice class and ended up just barely passing the class despite asking to be put in another one. (My advisor has changed as of now)

I really need this class to fulfill a pre-requisite requirement for a major specific class and the professor I chose was one I really had a good experience with and one that will accommodate to my schedule as my remaining classes are really important for me to take now.

Am I being impatient and will I end up getting a seat in the class or do I need to do anything else? I have seen class sizes for a few classes go up and it’s still the registration period.
