I am a 30+ aged woman with decent career prospects, from a great family/high income earners. Please understand, this is not to "other" myself, just to give context to my preconceived notions of the military. My serious boyfriend wants to reenter the AF as an officer after 6 years of service and using the GI bill to get his undergrad. I am having a very difficult time reconciling "marrying" myself literally and figuratively with an individual and the military. I am liberal, opinionated, free thinking but also I have a very smart and well intentioned partner. He is doing it for all of the right reasons. Am I crazy to think I can survive being a military wife for 12+ years? I will absolutely support all of my partners' career goals, but am I just not cut out for this?
