Going Home since 485 visa is expiring

Subclass 485

After a two-year battle of finding a way to stay in Australia after my 485, I have relented to the truth that I will be moving back to my home country. I'm from the arts sector, so a part of me knew that it was gonna be way harder to get sponsorship or at the very least get hired. So it's ok for the most part, I accept it and am ready to go.

I guess I just wanted to ask if anyone has advice on whatever aspect there is about leaving Australia. From packing, terminating services, and whatever process, I'd appreciate any insight.

More specifically, I was wondering if I have to let the government know that I am leaving. Am I supposed to notify them, or will it automatically reflect on their records anyway once I pass immigration?

Overall, I'm sad to leave but I've been granted the grace of time to prepare both mentally and logistically. So I'd say I have it a bit easier than others. I just want to spend my last weeks here enjoying the life that I built for myself abroad, and acknowledging that this will always be a big part of my story. An end of an era.
