My neighbor always makes comments about my running shorts so I gave him and his wife a gift to really talk about

So I am a frequent runner around my neighborhood and I always run in these 5” inseam “racing” shorts that are colorful and fun.

For the last few months, my direct neighbor across the street from where I live has always seemed to find a way to make shitty comments about my shorts. Sometimes he’d make comments as I was walking out the door to start my run and he was messing around in his yard, sometimes he’d roll down his window as I’m mid run and say something, and it even happened a few times as my runs were ending and I’d be running up to my house and he’d be in his garage messing around.

The comments always were along the lines of “hey man, why do you wear such girly ass shorts?” or even “damn dude, do you have a skirt to match them shorts?” And every time I’d ignore it, act like I don’t hear it and go about my day.

Well a few weeks ago, I noticed his wife was in and out of the house more frequently and I thought to myself, this would be the perfect opportunity to teach this guy a lesson so that’s what I did.

Last week, I decided to grab an older pair of the most colorful shorts I own that I hardly wear anymore, picked the most colorful gift box I could find, wrapped the shorts up and added an envelope with flirty looking handwriting and little hearts. Inside the envelope I wrote “since you always like what you see when I wear these, I figured you’d like a pair to match me (;”. I tried to keep it vague but super flirty.

A few days ago I was working around my gym and doing extra yard work on purpose to wait and see when the husband left or if he even would and to my surprise, he did and his wife’s car was still in the driveway so what did I do? I walked my ass over there, placed the box on the front door, rang the doorbell and walked away.

Shortly after I saw the wife open the door, look shocked and concerned and awkwardly took the box inside while reading the outside wording that I placed on the box.

Safe to say, my last few runs have been SILENT 😂 and I am honestly waiting to see what happens next.
