Odd SSD behavior (TeamGroup 1TB SSD)

Open | Hardware

OK, got an odd one here. Yesterday I was messing about and found a modpack for Skyrim called Lorerim. It's massive (300+ GB). I spent a few hours downloading the modpack and when it started installing everything (through Wabbajack btw), it seemed like it was going to take a few hours so I left it running and went to bed.

I woke up about 6 hours later and my D: drive is gone from windows (my game drive). I had a meeting at work so I left for a few hours and when I came back the drive was once again there. I checked on the installation of Lorerim and it looks like there were some corrupted files.

No big deal I can just delete it and start again right? Wrong.

I cannot delete anything off of my D: drive now, i cant format it, crystaldisk says it is working just fine. Going into safe mode and trying to format it under drive manager acts like it works but nothing is changed when I reboot. Ive used diskpart to remove any attributes and try to format it that way, no dice. chkdsk finds nothing wrong with it.

I know something is wrong because it is my Steam drive and Steam is behaving oddly (crashing, very slow to load). Games are taking forever to load off of it.

I dont care about the data, its just downloads.

This is a regular SATA SSD, TeamGroup Elite (blue) 1TB. It has roughly 15000 hours on it.

I would love to know if there are any other tools out there besides Crystaldisk to check the drive health. I have already pulled it from the PC and replaced the SATA cables to see if that helped, it didnt.

Any other steps I should take? Really dont want to have to replace the damn thing now that SSDs are $$$.

Thanks in advance, hit me up if you want any other info.
