Never had this happen before…

Hey all,

Happy start of the lunar new year!!!

I wanted to come up here and get some advice on a situation.

I sold a watch about 2 weeks ago. Instead of keeping it locally, I ended up shipping it because it's been around longer than I expected, and I'm impatient. It was a refurbished fitness watch, and I've had it for only a month. I tested it when I got it made sure everything was dandy.

For all my items over $100, I take pictures and videos to document the condition before selling.

Today, the seller messaged me saying the watch display is burnt, and the screen is not working or responding well, which sounds nothing like the watch I sold. I know I need to ask for pictures and/or video of the product to figure out the situation, but it's the end of the day, and I was getting ready to retire for the night.

I'm flabbergasted and a bit anxious because this has never happened to me in the three years I have been selling refurbished electronics as a side hustle. I genuinely do not want the product back if it is not in the same condition as when I sold it.
