Trying to remind myself we all have off days.
For context I’m 8mo postpartum with my first child. Had an extreme uptick in PVCs and unfortunately I feel every one. Episodes of bigeminy and trigeminy that I’ve never experienced before and medical professionals all told me “it’s benign you’re just stressed.” Okay, so I went on sertraline to help with the PPA and apparently the severe anxiety around this heart stuff. Dandy! I feel like I can function again but still slightly anxious/stressed due to momming largely with little help from the husband. Anywho, doctor assures me I’m fine, yet I haven’t seen a cardiologist or had any medical testing done other than labs and a holter/ECG. Am I crazy for being unhappy that I haven’t had more testing done? Like no one seems to be worried at all despite the insane jump in numbers coupled with being postpartum. My doctor refuses to send me for an echo, won’t test my thyroid because it was “fine” last time they checked, and says I should just drink coconut water. Like what the actual hell
Anyways I’ve been stressed and haven’t slept much lately due to my daughter cutting 4 teeth at once and today the pvcs are more than usual and it’s stressing me out and pissing me off at the same time. It makes me literally want to scream I hate them so much. I literally have no clue how to get them to go away, or if I even have anything structurally wrong with my heart etc etc etc. I’m just told, like many of you, “yep, ignore it.” I’m trying to remind myself that I’m “safe” (hopefully considering I haven’t had all of the tests to actually guarantee that) and that everything will be fine but holy.
