Mistplay review after 6 months of casual use

I started using Mistplay about six months ago after seeing people mention it here as an easy way to turn spare phone time into gift cards. For anyone who hasn't tried it: you install the app, pick mobile games from their list, play them to earn Units, and then redeem those Units for rewards like Amazon or Google Play gift cards, sometimes Visa or PayPal depending on your region.

My experience: it actually pays out and I got my first $10 Amazon card in a couple months by playing 10-30 minutes a day on the commute and hitting a few in-game milestones. Earnings are not huge. I averaged something like $5-15 per month depending on how much time I put in and whether I focused on the higher unit games. Trying new featured games and keeping the daily streaks really helps. The app gives bonuses for hitting milestones and for consistent play, so small, regular sessions work better than one long session.

Downsides: it is Android only for most users, some games are geo-locked, and some titles are obviously time sinks where the Units feel low for the time invested. Also the best offers rotate, so there are weeks where nothing interesting is available. Support and referrals were fine in my case but YMMV.

Overall: not a get-rich-quick thing, but a legit, low-effort way to earn small gift cards if you already like playing mobile games. If you want bigger cash in less time, this is not it. If you want a chill side hobby that pays a little, give it a shot.

Edit: still using it at the 10 month mark. Payouts remain reliable and the app keeps adding new games, but earnings stayed about the same unless I treated it like mini grind sessions.
