Solo after MPFL Reconstruction

I'm getting an MPFL reconstruction later this week after a couple of decades of more and more frequent patellar subluxations. I'm worried about the pain of course, I expect it'll be horrible, but I'm even more worried about how to manage post-surgery living on my own.

I don't have a partner or any close friends in town and my family lives about an hour and a half away and have their own issues/jobs/etc. I have a ride to get home after the surgery, but after that I'm on my own unless it's an emergency.

Is there anyone in this subreddit that's also had an MPFL reconstruction or other knee surgery and managed recovery on their own.
