This is gonna be a "speedrun" edition of the photo update since this is the quickest visit I've ever had to NSF since I just wanted to go in to grab the Virtual Boy and leave (since it's raining outside). I didn't even have time to check-in to the tablet downstairs!

Speaking of which, kudos to the front door staff and security for helping out everyone coming in to bag their umbrellas (which makes sense so nobody makes a mess and slip inside, but I don't see much stores actually go out of their way to do that, so that was nice to see).

First off, there's actually a sale going on this week at Nintendo San Francisco! These are pretty rare for the store to have, the last time being around Black Friday (and similar deals to that sale, photo from November for reference), so if you've been meaning to pick up these games, now is a great time.

And yes, both replica Virtual Boy and the cardboard version are now available at NSF! I've never bought NSO exclusive items at the store before and always assumed that you needed to prove that you had a paid membership before buying the exclusive controllers like you do online, but apparently, you don't need to at the store (they just specify that you need the membership in order to actually use them). The other NSO controllers like the Sega Genesis and more are no longer on display since the Virtual Boy headsets are there instead, but they do still have them, you just have to ask the cashier.
I was a little surprised at how big of a box the cardboard version is. Turns out it's already assembled unlike the do-it-yourself Labo version.

Lastly, new to me are some Mario Kart Hot Wheels that I don't remember seeing before (these are the same kinds you can find at Target, so not store exclusive).

Aaaand that's it! Again, this is a pretty quick update, but hopefully a helpful one! Till next time!
