[M4F] Your chooms left you to die, and now you're waking up at my clinic. You're being held together by spit and glue, but you'll live.
It was supposed to be a simple gig. Hijack a corpo convoy in the outskirts of Watson, grab an encrypted shard from Arasaka and delta the fuck out of there.
It wasn't even your first time. You've done jobs like this for Wakako, El Capitan, Padre... You've been around, you've seen things, and most fixers trust you'll get the job done. Regina certainly did, even getting a bit of a crew together for you. You, a Netrunner, and a driver.
You managed to do your part just fine. After the netrunner created some confusion and distractions among the security personnel, you went in and dealt with them. Quickly, you went inside the armored truck, nabbed the shard from a corpo rat... only to feel your cyberware failing you as you stepped out of the vehicle.
Vision blurred, your legs gave out from under you and nausea hit you all at once. An Arasaka netrunner, it had to be. Did your own guy let him slip through the ICE? Had he even set any protective measures before the attack started?
It didn't matter. With shaky legs, you made your way to the spot you were supposed to be picked up at. A minute goes by. Then another. Where is your driver? Did the fucker call in sick or something?
With the car nowhere in sight, you call up Regina and update her on the sich. She gives you new coordinates to drop off the shard in a hidden location, a short 15 minute walk. Great. With Arasaka still on your tail, you stumble your way through Maelstrom territory, avoiding all the gang spots, hoping they would be a deterrent for Arasaka to stop chasing you.
Well, they weren't. You found that out as a shot from a Nekomata tore through your shoulder. You fall to the street, blood pouring from the wound, as you hear steps approaching behind you. Turning around, you see the Arasaka personel... being harassed by the Maelstrom gangoons you were avoiding earlier. They didn't take kindly to the corpo presence in their turf, or maybe they were having a cyberpsycho episode. Either way, you took this as a chance to limp away, finally getting to the drop off point.
You hide the shard away and call up Regina. Your comms are heavily scrambled now, whatever the netrunner did to you earlier, it was getting worse. Didn't help that your biomon was now constantly updating you on health alerts. Yeah, you were shot and were bleeding heavily. You didn't need that stupid beeping in your head to figure that out, the trail of blood behind you and the searing pain was proof enough.
You took a MaxDoc, hoping to survive just long enough to get help, but your system was shutting down. Literally. Your cyberware stopped responding, and now your flesh was having to deal with all it's problems unassisted, and that was just too much of a task to handle.
The last thing you remembered was a car approaching, and someone taking the shard away. You couldn't see anything at that point, your Kiroshi's were completely fried.
What happened after is that Regina didn't just pick up the shard, she sent someone to pick you up as well. And drop you off in my doorstep.
Now, I'm still trying to put my name out there as a decent ripperdoc, but don't worry. Unlike certain individuals, I got morals, this ain't no scav haunt. Your hardware was fine, but I had to clean out most of your soft, and your shoulder... Well, if you're looking to get a cyberarm, let's say this isn't a bad time to pull the trigger on that.
Take your time. I don't have any other clients in right now, and Regina is using the payout from the gig to foot the bill. Well, unless you want to get something new, that has to come from your pocket.
And before you freak out, your clothes are in the bin. There was so much blood on them, like something straight out of an XBD. There's some... old threads upstairs, I'll go fetch you something.

Hi, thanks for reading everything this far! If it isn't clear, I want to have a Cyberpunk 2077 themed RP where I'm a ripperdoc taking care of you, maybe helping you in your gigs and just generally living in Night City. Over time, we grow closer together, and some romance begins to spark between us...
But we would have to be careful. After all, there are no happy endings in Night City.
Ideally, this would be a slow burn, as my character helps yours with their goals and they get closer together. Do you seek revenge on the chooms that left you to die? Do you instead jump back in the fray and take another gig? Or maybe this is a sign that you should instead choose the quiet life instead of going down in a blaze of glory?
In terms of setting, well, It's night city. I wanted to have it set between the events of Edgerunners and 2077, so it gives us plenty of material to work with. Essentially, it's after David Martinez busted through the Arasaka Headquarters, but before V's heist on Kompeki Plaza happens.
And for characters, I am intentionally leaving them pretty open ended on purpose. You're a merc, and you have cyberware, and you have some experience. The why, what, and how of your character is completely up to you. Do you work just for the money? Are you looking to become the hottest shit in the Afterlife? Or are you looking for something more specific?
My character is an ex-militech medic, someone who served for a grand total of 2 months before saying fuck this shit, and deserting to Night City. Now, he's trying to start a business, but he's clearly struggling with pretty much everything. Between dealing with gangs and now corpos trying to suck every eddy out of his pockets, he's at his wits end. The only thing keeping him afloat right now is a contract with Regina, where he gives her a hand with anyone she needs looked at.
I'm looking for someone who usually replies with at least a couple paragraphs, maybe more if the situation calls for it. This would be a long term RP, so replies might take a little while especially when accounting for timezone shenanigans, but I'm happy as long as there is some consistent progress. I'm open to any kinks or fantasies you want to add to this, just keep in mind it'll be a slow burn and it might take a while till we get to the spicy parts.
I'm ok if you don't know much about Cyberpunk, I can give you some information and whatnot, but this will be MUCH easier if you have either watched the show or played the game. Still, I can fill you in with anything you want to know.
I guess it's a bit of a long shot, but if you're at all interested, shoot me a DM and we can start talking.
